The Muskoday First Nation has a new chief for the first time in decades.
Newly elected chief Herman Crain replaces long-serving chief Austin Bear who chose not to run in the election.
Crain beat out challengers Sandra Burns and Sandi LeBoeuf in yesterday’s election.
Delbert Bear, Merle Crain and Randy Bear were also re-elected to council joining newly elected Beryl Bear and Everette Bear.
Sixteen different candidates ran for the five council positions.
