The 19th installment of the Lawrence Weenie Cup Tomahockey tournament gets underway this weekend in North Battleford.
Officials are expecting around 24 teams to take part in the action.
“We have the senior rez rec. division – 12-team format, we have a masters division that’s 45-plus – we have four teams there,” said Milton Tootoosis, the organizer of the event.
“We have the legends division with four teams as well and a midget division, with four teams as well, so it looks like about 24 teams in total.”
Around $25,000 in total prize money is on the line. Additionally, there will also be a pool tournament and a talent show taking place.
