Former La Ronge Ice Wolves forward Dalton Dosko is taking his talents to the college ranks.
Dosko, who is 21, has committed to play for the Minot State Beavers, an ACHA Division I hockey program in North Dakota.
“I’m pretty familiar with the school because both of my parents graduated from there,” said Dosko. “I’ve got a lot of relatives that live in North Dakota, so it’s always kind of been on the radar for me, you could say.”
Dosko, a Kenai, AK product, spent the last two seasons with the La Ronge Ice Wolves. In 56 games this past season, Dosko tallied six points.
“We are excited to add Dalton to our lineup,” said Minot State Head Coach Wade Regier in a news release. “Dalton brings us a ton of versatility, which is vital to a college hockey program. He is player who prides himself on being a gym rat. This will be infectious in our locker room.”
Dosko says he hopes to study pre-med and would like to become a physical therapist upon graduation.
