The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating after a member of the Meadow Lake RCMP detachment fired a semi-automatic rifle at a pair of suspects.
The incident started around 2:45 Sunday morning when Mounties were searching for suspects believed to have been involved in a home invasion on the Waterhen Lake First Nation.
Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle but the driver took off.
The vehicle later stopped in a wooded area but rammed the police vehicle.
RCMP say one of the officers discharged an RCMP-issued carbine but neither suspect was hit.
They were later arrested after a vehicle hit a home in the community.
Police say 28-year-old Dylan Basil Lasas and 20-year-old Stuart Alphonse Lasas are facing numerous charges.
They include robbery, flight from police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
They are due in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on July 8.
