RCMP said they had to dispose of a bear in La Loche, which was roaming in a residents backyard.
An RCMP spokesperson said the bear was attracted to the smell of people cleaning fish and not properly discarding the remains in the northern Saskatchewan community.
Mounties said the officer who killed the bear could not remove it and the carcass was taken away by the village the following day.
The spokesperson said the officer was too busy with other service calls to remove the animal.
