A 36-year-old man from Big River First Nation was found dead on Friday afternoon near Pekakumew Lake.
An autopsy will be conducted over the next few days to determine the cause of Richard Netmaker’s death.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information on Netmaker’s activities during this past week is asked to contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers or Big River RCMP.
RCMP are looking for a man from Big River First Nation who may need medical attention.
RCMP say 36-year-old Richard Netmaker was last seen on Monday in an isolated area about five kilometers northwest of the reserve.
Investigators say he may have been assaulted and he is likely not dressed for the weather.
Netmaker is 5’6”, 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
Police say he may have caught a ride with someone and may no longer be near Big River.
