A 26-year-old woman from Regina has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Keesha Cree Bitternose.
Bitternose was found deceased on Jan. 5, 2020 in the 1500 block of Cameron Street in Regina.
Kelly Renee Stonechild was arrested Tuesday after an investigation and was scheduled to appear in provincial court Wednesday.
Regina police say more charges are expected to be laid and the investigation into the city’s first homicide of 2020 is ongoing.
Bitternose grew up on the George Gordon First Nation and later moved to Regina.
