Saskatchewan RCMP says one of their officers has been in self-isolation after learning they may have been exposed to COVID-19 last Wednesday.
Police say they followed Saskatchewan Health Authority protocol after receiving information about the officer’s potential exposure to the virus and received a positive test result on Saturday.
A press release says areas in which the officer worked have been disinfected and RCMP is working with the SHA to notify co-workers who could have potentially come in contact.
Mounties also say they are following proper screening procedures when attending to service calls such as asking about COVID-19 symptoms or contact with others who have been potentially exposed to the virus.
