The La Ronge region community alcohol management plan committee’s annual survey has received less participation than usual.
The committee is working on a five-year plan to reduce alcohol-related harms in La Ronge, Air Ronge and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
The committee is made up of representatives from each community, as well as health officials, the RCMP and other community organizations.
It releases a survey each year to get public feedback on what community members would like to see in the plan and whether they are seeing improvements because of alcohol management strategies.
The committee says they think the lack of participation may be due to the large amount of public attention being taken up by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The committee has not determined a closing date for the survey due to the current low number of responses.
The results will be available to the public once the survey is closed and the committee has reviewed the results.
