The province said Wednesday that it is planning to implement phase three of its COVID-19 reopening plan on June 8.
Phase three will see restaurants and licensed establishments will be able to open at 50 percent capacity.
Gyms and fitness facilities will also be able to open for business, as will childcare facilities and places of worship, subject to guidelines that are being developed.
More personal care businesses will open; Estheticians, Tattoo artists, Make-up applicators, Electrologists, Manicurists, Pedicurists, Sun tanning parlours, and body piercing facilities.
The size of indoor public and private gatherings will increase to 15 people in Phase 3, while the size of outdoor gatherings will increase to 30.
The province said guidelines for restaurants and licensed establishments, and gyms and fitness facilities are being developed and expected to be released Friday.
Yet guidelines for reopening places of worship will be done in consultation with faith leaders. No date on when those guidelines was released.
The government reminds that businesses are to follow guidelines and should open when safe to do so.
SARCAN is also preparing to resume its recycling operations in the near future. Beginning June 1, commercial and bulk customers will be able to bring in their recycling by appointment only. SARCAN will open to the general public on June 8.
