RCMP in Wollaston Lake say they disrupted a large amount of liquor from coming into the Hatchet Lake Dene Nation.

Mounties say they stopped a boat coming from Barge Landing, docking at the First Nation early Sunday morning, where 58 bottles of hard liquor, and various other bottles and cans of liquor were seized.

It is believed the booze was for resale.

Four people aboard the boat are charged with bootlegging and will appear in court in October.
