COVID-19 is continuing to rise in the Far North.
Provincial health officials report six new cases in the Far North East and two in the Far North West since Saturday.
One of those new cases was reported Saturday on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority said the identified case is in isolation and that contact tracing is underway.
163 people were tested for the virus in Stanley Mission Saturday.
At that time 24 people tested negative, six positive and 133 pending.
NITHA declared an outbreak at the Stanley Mission Health Centre Sunday due to coronavirus cases.
The potential exposure is between Oct. 5-8. People are being asked to monitor symptoms.
