A 30-year-old man faces a number of charges after a reported gun threat near the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation School Thursday morning.
RCMP say a vehicle drove off the road and hit a fence near the school and a male suspect was seen exiting the vehicle with a firearm in hand.
Police say the suspect entered a nearby residence and as a precaution the school was locked down.
Mounties then surrounded the residence and a man was arrested without incident and unloaded firearm seized.
Riley Fenton of Ahtahkakoop is charged with uttering threats, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and unsafe storage of a firearm.
He has been remanded in custody and his next court appearance is Monday in Prince Albert.
