The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) is reporting 674 active COVID-19 cases in their communities.
The far northeast continues to have the most active cases with 228. The far northwest has the second highest number of active cases with 188. The northeast region is reporting 123 cases, while the north central region has 63.
According to NITHA nine people are currently in hospital and 1,403 cases have recovered so far.
In the far north central part of the province the Athabasca Health Authority is reporting 48 active COVID-19 cases in their region. This is an increase of one from their previous report. The health authority also reported 8 new recoveries Wednesday.
The community of Black Lake is reporting the most active cases with 47, two people from the first nation are currently in hospital. Meanwhile Fond-du-Lac is reporting one cases of the virus, that person is currently in hospital.
