The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) said there were 463 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities Monday.

The far northeast region was reporting the most active cases with 225, followed by the far northwest at 102. The north central region is reporting 62 active COVID-19 cases while the northeast has 57.

In the far north central part of the province the Athabasca Health Authority is reporting 21 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities. This is an increase of three from their last report.

In Athabasca the community of Black Lake is reporting the highest number of active cases with 11. Meanwhile six active cases can be traced back to Fond-du-Lac, however one of those cases is currently not in the community. Rounding out the Athabasca communities is Stony Rapids, which is currently reporting four active cases.

Overall NITHA said six people are currently in hospital while 1,116 cases have recovered so far.
