The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) reported 43 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities Thursday.

The far northeast region reported the most active cases with 32. The northeast had the second highest number of cases with two while the far northwest reported one active case.

Overall NITHA said there are currently three people in hospital while the number of recoveries is sitting at 3,229.

In the far north central part of the province, the Athabasca Health Authority reported seven active cases in their region Thursday. Since their last report the health authority has not seen any more positive cases or recoveries.

Black Lake reported six active cases while Fond-du-Lac had one active case with one person in hospital.

On the vaccine front the Athabasca Health Authority said as of Thursday 549 people had gotten their first dose of the vaccine while 454 people had got both doses.
