The La Ronge RCMP responded to a call of a disturbance this morning outside the Town of La Ronge office.
RCMP say a man was seen trying to get into a vehicle in the parking lot.
They say a female employee questioned the man and he then assaulted her.
Steven Brown, chief administrative officer for the town, said the woman was chased, but he and another staff member were able to intervene and get the man onto the ground, where they held him until police arrived.
He said there were no injuries.
The RCMP took the man into custody without further incident.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing, but the male will be charged with two counts of assault.
They say once the charges are finalized, the man can be identified.
