A fire ban for La Ronge, Air Ronge and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band has been lifted as of 10 a.m. Thursday.
A ban was issued July 9 due to dry conditions.
The La Ronge Regional Fire Department said in a statement the ban has been rescinded due to recent precipitation, with more on the way, and the region’s fire hazard rating falling to low-moderate levels.
It also noted that, “the wildfire situation has started to stabilize.”
Saskatchewan lifted its provincial fire ban Monday.
