A man was arrested by Prince Albert RCMP after a search was conducted through a trail in the Nesbitt Forest near Macdowall.

An SUV was reported stolen Tuesday and was found abandoned near Macdowall.

RCMP then received a report that a man was walking through a trail in the area with a firearm.

The RCMP enlisted the help of Saskatoon Police air support and RCMP Police Dog Services to locate the man.

35-year-old William Sanderson was charged with four offences including carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Sanderson also had multiple outstanding warrants from Melfort RCMP and Prince Albert police.
