The RCMP are advising the public of an increased police presence on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation.
According to a press release, RCMP are investigating the theft of a white truck that occurred Wednesday morning.
RCMP say a firearm was involved.
Investigators believe the incident is related to a robbery that happened Aug. 7 on the Little Red River First Nations.
As a result of the Aug. 7 incident, 25-year-old Glen Halkett of Sturgeon Lake First Nation has been charged and an arrest warrant has been issued.
Halkett is described as 5’6″ and approximately 130 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
Halkett may be in Little Red River First Nation, Sturgeon Lake First Nation, Prince Albert, Shellbrook or Ahtakakoop First Nation.
Anyone who sees or has seen Halkett is asked to contact RCMP and advised to not approach him as he is considered by RCMP to be armed and dangerous.
