RCMP in southern Saskatchewan are on the lookout for a man they are calling dangerous.
Jarrett Poitras was scheduled for a trial in Regina this past August, but didn’t show up.
The charges against Poitras stem from an alleged armed robbery in July 2019 on Muscowpetung First Nation. He was facing several charges including Robbery with Firearm, Break and Enter, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Careless Use of a Firearm, Point a Firearm and Carrying a Firearm for the Purpose of Committing an Offence.
Fort Qu’Apelle RCMP Officers are now trying to locate Poitras and they believe he could be in Regina or Saskatoon. He is also known to frequent Muscowpetung and Pasqua First Nation.
Poitras is described as being approximately 5’11”, 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos of the numbers ‘306’ on the underside of his left forearm, two bear paws on the bottom of his left wrist, the words ‘Family First’ on the top of his left hand and a rose on the top of his right hand.
Jarrett Poitras is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP.
