The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has announced a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy.
All individuals on or working with teams within the league will need to get their first dose of a vaccine by Sept.10.
In a statement, the league said the policy is to keep players, coaches, staff and team personnel safe as well as community members living in towns the league plays in.
They also noted individuals who aren’t fully vaccinated won’t be able to travel into Manitoba to play the Flin Flon Bombers.
Individuals who aren’t fully vaccinated will need to wear a mask around others on the team and during off-ice team activities.
The SJHL is pushing everyone to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 15.
