Wollaston Lake RCMP say the dedicated search for two missing boaters on the northern Saskatchewan lake has now become reactive in nature.
This means RCMP officers will now only initiate a search for the missing boaters if new information is received.
The boaters went missing on the northern lake two weeks ago. Since that time several community members, RCMP officers and other organizations have been searching the water to locate the missing individuals.
On October 16 the remains of one of the missing boaters was located. The boat the boaters were presumed to be travelling in has been located as well.
However, to this date, the two other missing boaters have not been located.
RCMP now asks Anyone who locates items of interest, including clothing, in the water or on the shorelines that may assist in search efforts to contact the Wollaston Lake RCMP detachment.
