The Prince Albert Grand Council has determined the candidates for the Athabasca vice-chief position.
Voting for the role of vice-chief will be taking place at the PAGC general assembly on Tuesday.
Incumbent Joseph Tsanni will be up against challenger Joan Strong.
Tsanni, from Hatchet Lake First Nation, has served as vice-chief for two terms after he was re-elected in 2015.
Strong, a member of Black Lake First Nation, is a training and employment coordinator for the PAGC.
The first round of voting is expected to close around noon on Tuesday, with additional ballots to be called if needed.
Ballots will be cast through an online platform.
