A uranium mining company is looking at opening a mill in the southwest zone of the Athabasca Basin.
Fission Uranium Corporation, who is based out of British Columbia, is hoping to open a mine 155 kilometres north of La Loche on highway 155.
The province will now be completing an environmental impact assessment on the proposed project.
Fission has submitted all of it’s identifying documents, which can be found on the province’s website.
