Crown prosecutors are proceeding by indictment against Dawn Walker.
Walker, the former chief of staff of the FSIN, faces numerous charges after allegedly faking her death and fleeing to the United States.
Now that the Crown is proceeding by indictment, Walker could face at least a two year sentence if convicted.
Walker disappeared in July and after a two-week search, was found in Oregon – where she was arrested.
The 48-year-old is also facing charges from American authorities as well.
She is due back in court October 6.
