The Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) is accepting applications from people interested in running for the office of vice chief.
In a media release sent out September 7 the tribal council said the office of vice chief will be vacant as of September 16. The released explains candidates who are interested in possibly running must file a declaration of intent no later then 4 p.m. this coming Friday, September 16. Interested candidates also have to submit a proof of a satisfactory security clearance to the chief electoral officer by September 23.
According to the media release the nomination meeting is set to go October 17 at the Prince Albert Exhibition Centre with the election for vice chief set to go the next day on October 18 at the same location.
MBC Radio News has confirmed the soon to be vacant vice chief’s office is the one currently held by Christopher Jobb.
