There will be no school this week for students at Dene High in La Loche.
That community and the RCMP are still addressing the effects of an alleged stabbing Thursday.
In a letter from the Northern Lights School Division, Director of Education said they are working on a safety plan for students and staff.
RCMP are investigating the injuries to a student as an educational assistant.
The Canadian Press reports the stabbing took place during a recess Thursday in a common area, as the educational assistant was attempting to break up a fight.
The student is now in custody and officials said the risk to the public is now over.
