The Mistawasis First Nation is looking to keep it’s membership better informed
In a media release sent out Tuesday morning the First Nation announced the launch of the Mistawasis Nêhiyawak App.
The nation’s chief Darryl Watson said they have members who live all across the country and having an online app will be helpful in keeping them informed.
“It will enable us to communicate more effectively and connect with members in a way that’s convenient and accessible,” he said.
The Chief added the First Nation is overall looking to keep their membership informed, while also empowering them.
Mistawasis First Nation has used online apps in the past to help revitalize language and Chief Watson said he hopes to see this newest one be as successful as their past ones.
“In the past, we have had success using apps with our youth. We hope this gets them excited to engage at our events and teaching within the Nation,” he said.
The Mistawasis Nêhiyawak App is now available for download at the App Store and on Google Play.
