Some communities in the northwest, evacuated by the threat of wildfires are returning home.
Evacuation orders have been lifted in Ile-a-la-Crosse, Buffalo Narrows, Buffalo River, Dillon, St. George’s Hill and Michel Village.
However, the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency said approximately 325 residents of Patuanak and English River are remaining in North Battleford, being supported by the Meadow Lake Tribal Council.
In the Northeast, Deschambault Lake still remains under self-evacuation.
Wildfire officials said conditions have improved and firefighters have received favourable weather. There are currently 19 wildfires burning in the province, with five classified as not contained.
