Brian Hardlotte will continue as Grand Chief of the Prince Albert Grand Council. In a vote held Tuesday.
Hardlotte garnered 168 votes to Greg Ermine’s 100 ballots. Hadlotte was nominated by Lac La Ronge Indian Band Chief Tammy Cook-Searson.
During his acceptance speech, Hardlotte stated he wanted to build upon the positives within northern communities and support each other in addressing challenges. He explained being an urban organization it was important to work with the Mayor of Prince Albert and the Police Service going forward. Hardlotte says he wants to tackle homelessness and help vulnerable people.
This will be Hardlotte’s third-term in office.
