A murder charge has been laid in a January homicide on the Big Island Cree Nation.
Doreen Oseemeemow appeared in court Tuesday, charged with second-degree murder, of a man who was allegedly assaulted at a home on the First Nation January 2.
He later died of his injuries. Oseeemeemow will appear again in court in March.
