In a release sent to media, RCMP in Sandy Bay stated that on April 12 at around 6 p.m. they performed a routine traffic stop in the community.
Mounties noted that during the traffic stop they located and seized approximately 107 grams of crack cocaine, 19 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of ecstasy, trafficking paraphernalia, and cash.
During the search, police also alleged they found a large number of knives, axes, baseball bats, and an intimidation handgun.
34-year-old Kevin McCallum was arrested at the scene.
McCallum faces three counts, possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000, four counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and one count, possession of firearm while prohibited.
McCallum is set to appear in Sandy Bay court on April 18.
