The upcoming Tony Cote games, hosted by the Lac La Ronge Indian Band received a financial boost this week.
The organizing committee was presented with a cheque for $125,000 from the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority along with $15,000 from Northern Sports, Culture, and Recreation District.
The games run August 10-16 in La Ronge area.
Participants will compete in seven different events, which include athletics, archery, beach volleyball, canoe/kayak, golf, soccer, and softball.
Crews are currently working on the final touches to get all the facilities ready to host the games.
