RCMP are investigating after a man was shot on Big River First Nation this week.
Mounties say a grey SUV was reported to have driven past and shot the man while he was walking along a highway on the First Nation Sunday evening.
The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to RCMP, the same grey SUV was believed to be a part of a bear mace incident the same evening. RCMP say the SUV drove by the woman deploying bear mace in her direction. The woman was treated by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
The incidents are under investigation and anyone with any information on the matter is asked to contact Big River RCMP at 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com
