A 30-year-old man has been charged with several offenses for an alleged violent act that included cutting off the fingers of three people.

RCMP say, in late June, they received a report that one of the injured individuals had been taken to hospital.

Following an investigation, the RCMP say they determined a man took three people into a rural location near La Ronge, threatened them with a fire-arm, assaulted them, and severed a finger on each individual.

As a result of the investigation, RCMP say 30-year-old Kaylen Charles faces several charges.

These charges include five counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault by choking, four countes of uttering threats, mischief, and multiple firearms charges.

Charles also faces charges of failing to attend court, and failing to comply with a release order stemming from another Matter. His early charges are still pending.

RCMP say Charles was arrested without incident earlier this month.
