A member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band has been nominated for four Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Awards.
Nigel Bell, who performs under the stage name Nige B, was given the nod for the awards this week.
Bell has been nominated for rap/hip hop/ Electronic Artist of the year, instrumentalist of the year, emerging artist of the year, and for the fan’s choice award.
Last year, Bell took home two awards at the ceremony.
The Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Awards announced the nominations for the second version of the event on Thursday.

“This event is more than just an awards ceremony; it’s a celebration of Indigenous music and the incredible artists who bring it to life,” said the SIMA Awards committee in the nominations announcement.
The 2024 version of the Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Awards will take place on October 12 at the EA Rawlinson Centre in Prince Albert.
