Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation has announced that it has received a formal offer of settlement from Canada for the bands Agricultural Benefits claim.
PBCN now plans to conduct community engagement meetings to get members feedback on possible usage of settlement funds.
The meetings will be held from October 1 to the 9 in multiple communities. The band stated that the meetings are for PBCN members only and there will be no live streams. Cell phones and recording devices will not be allowed at meetings.
Below is a list of the dates and times scheduled for the meetings.
PBCN said that once the financial plan and settlement agreement are complete, a ratification date will be set where PBCN members can vote on whether or not they accept the financial plan.
