A 40-year old man from Prince Albert is facing multiple weapons charges following an incident on Muskoday First Nation Monday. 

Prince Albert RCMP say they responded to a report of suspicious activity at around 12:20 p.m. at a business in that community. 

Officers located and seized an improvised firearm as they took the suspect, Curtis Black into custody. 

As a result of continued investigation, 40-year-old Curtis Black from Prince Albert has been charged with: 

  • one count, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
  • one count, carrying a concealed weapon.
  • one count, unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm.
  • one count, possession of a firearm when knowing possession in unauthorized.
  • one count, possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle.
  • three counts, weapon possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization.
  • three counts, possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without a licence.

Black appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on October 29 and Prince Albert RCMP stated that they continue to investigate.
