Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section continues to investigate a robbery and shooting that occurred north of Prince Albert on October 24, 2024.

Investigators wish to share some updates with the public:

Efforts to locate Dallas Fulton continue

Investigators continue to actively search for 27-year-old Dallas Fulton and continue to ask members of the public to report information on his whereabouts.

Dallas Fulton’s family has reported him as missing to police. While police are working to locate him to arrest him on his warrant, it’s also important that we are able to check on his well-being.

Saskatchewan RCMP has conducted numerous searches of the Thunder Rapids area, where Fulton was last known to be, including using Police Dog Services and the Remotely Piloted Aircraft System. Investigators can’t confirm whether Fulton left the area or not.

Investigators are also working to check other places Fulton is known to frequent, including the Saskatoon and Duck Lake areas, and following up on all information received through the course of the investigation.

If you see Dallas Fulton, do not approach him.

He is wanted on serious charges and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Report information on his whereabouts to your local police service immediately.

Investigators also looking to speak with 21-year-old male

Saskatchewan RCMP also asking members of the public to help locate 21-year-old Brody Lebel, who they need to speak to as soon as possible in relation to this investigation.

Brody Lebel has not been charged in relation to this incident and to be mindful of privacy, we are unable to provide additional information on why investigators need to speak with him at this time.

Brody Lebel was reported as missing to Prince Albert Police Service and they are also actively working to locate him.

He is known to frequent the Prince Albert area.

He is described as 6’ and 170 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a brick wall on his right hand.

Additional charges laid in relation to October 17 robbery

As a result of continued investigation, charges have been laid in relation to an October 17 robbery in the RM of Prince Albert.

19-year-old Melissa McCallum and 33-year-old Angus Heathen are each charged with:  two counts, assault with weapon; one count, robbery with firearm; one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;  one count, pointing a firearm; one count, possession of a firearm without a license; one count, possession of a firearm in a vehicle; one count, careless of use a firearm; and one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Angus Heathen is also charged with one count, possession of a firearm contrary to order and one count, fail to comply with probation order.

McCallum appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on November 14, and Heathen on November 18.

They were already in custody awaiting court on charges laid in relation to the October 24, 2024 robbery,

Potential links between incidents being investigated

The investigation into the October 17 and 24 robberies continues, and investigators are actively working to determine if there are any further potential links between thefts/robberies in northcentral Saskatchewan reported to police in October.

Investigational updates will be provided as they become available.

Investigations urge members of the public to report any information about these crimes – or about the whereabouts of Dallas Fulton or Brody Lebel – to police immediately.

Furthermore, if you reside in or have trail cameras in the greater area between Nipawin and Cumberland House, to please check them and notify police of anything suspicious.

UPDATE – October 25, 4:15 p.m.

RCMP say two individuals involved in Thursday’s incident and dangerous persons alert have been charged.

18-year-old Melissa McCallum from La Ronge and 33-year-old Angus Heathen from Prince Albert have been handed several charges.

The charges include aggravated assault, unlawfully causing bodily harm, and a number of firearm related offenses.

They will be in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.

In the meantime, Mounties say two outstanding suspects have not yet been located and authorities ask any to report any suspicious behavior to police.

As for the victim of Thursday’s shooting, police say the victim remains in hospital.

Update: October 24, 2024, 4:12 p.m.

Dangerous Persons Alert cancelled 

Two suspects were arrested in the Tobin Lake area.

There may be two other suspects outstanding and they may be on foot in the Tobin Lake area.

As a result of continued investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP has determined this incident no longer meets the criteria for a Dangerous Persons Alert.

We continue to monitor the situation, and updates will be provided when available. Should an imminent risk to public safety be identified, we will notify the public.

Residents in the Tobin Lake area may notice a continued increased police presence.

It is important for motorists to note that Highway #123 is blocked, north of Tobin Lake due to the ongoing search and police presence. The public is asked to avoid the area.

 


Update: October 24, 2024, 12:02 p.m.

Officers from multiple Saskatchewan RCMP units and detachments are now in the Thunder Rapids area and continue to search for the suspects. We have no further investigational updates at the moment.

The dangerous person alert remains in place; we ask that people in the Thunder Rapids area remain in a secure location with locked doors and windows. People in the area should not stop for hitch hikers or approach suspicious persons.

People in other nearby areas should take precautions.

Investigators continue to ask members of the public to report all information or sightings of suspicious persons to 911.

We’ll continue to provide updates as we can.


Update: October 24, 10:43 a.m.

RCMP just put out an alert stating that the suspects are now believed to be on foot in the Thunder Rapids area on Highway #123.

They are no longer in the vehicle and the public is advised to STAY AWAY from that area.

There are multiple suspects and are considered armed and dangerous.

If in the Thunder Rapids and surrounding area: seek immediate shelter or shelter in place and close and lock doors and windows. Do not leave a secure location. Be cautious of someone asking for a ride. Do not pick up hitch hikers. Do not disclose police locations. Be cautious if not in the immediate described areas.


Update: October 24, 10:27 a.m.

RCMP stated that the suspects were last seen with a gun at approximately 10 a.m. on Highway #123 heading north towards Cumberland House.

They are still in the 2020 white Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab with green toolbox and Saskatchewan license plate RNF 50.


October 24, 10:18 a.m.

Mounties stated that on at approximately 8:30 this morning, they received a report of a robbery north of Prince Albert. 

Initial investigation determined that an individual was in a vehicle driving near the White Star elevator north of the city when they were approached by multiple males in a vehicle. 

The individual was shot by the suspects and has been transported to hospital with unknown injuries.  

The suspects also stole the individual’s vehicle. 

The suspects are described as three or four males who may be wearing black bandanas or black balaclavas. They are believed to be armed with a gun and considered dangerous.  

They may be driving a white 2020 Dodge Ram with Saskatchewan license plate RNF 50 and are believed to be travelling near the intersection of Highways #55 and #123 near Prince Albert. 

RCMP stated that people in the Prince Albert area should seek immediate shelter or shelter in place and close and lock doors and windows. Do not leave a secure location. Be cautious of someone asking for a ride. Do not pick up hitchhikers. Do not disclose police locations. Be cautious if not in the immediate areas described. 

Mounties said the situation is unfolding rapidly and more information will be available as soon as possible.
