A 62-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting several women during his time as a self-proclaimed Indigenous healer has pleaded guilty to all charges against him.
Cecil Wolfe was scheduled for a trial in Saskatoon on Monday.
He was facing 12 counts of sexual assault stemming from his work as a medicine man between 2013-2021.
Wolfe has now plead guilty to all of these charges.
The court process for Wolfe has been anything but typical.
He had initially plead guilty to the charges in 2022. However, as his sentencing hearing was scheduled to get underway in 2023, Wolfe would change his lawyers and applied to expunge his guilty pleas from the record.
A judge would grant him his request and his guilty pleas would be erased.
Wolfe was actually scheduled to start his trial this past Tuesday, but changed his election from a jury to a judge alone trial delaying the matter again.
However, things have now come to an end as the guilty pleas have been entered.
Wolfe is now scheduled for a sentencing hearing in March.
