The Lake Country Co-op food store in La Ronge is getting several upgrades to be installed over the next several months.
The company says they are investing $8 million into the food store for what they say are significant upgrades.
These upgrades include a new refrigeration system, more warehouse space, and an open concept meat department.
According to Co-op, every department will undergo a refresh to create a more modern atmosphere.
A few unique additions will come as well including a popcorn kitchen and a dedicated candy store.
“This investment is not just about improving the store— it’s about strengthening the La Ronge community and surrounding areas for the future.” Said Geoff German, VP of Consumer Operations & Innovation. “We are committed to providing our customers with a superior experience, and this enhanced and modernized facility is a testament to that commitment.”
Renovations are scheduled to start later this month and should take about 10 months.
