HSAS Workers Strike in PA

Picket signs went up in Prince Albert this morning.
Members of the Health Sciences Association demonstrated outside an addictions office in the city.
The workers, many of whom are hospital pharmacists, physical therapists and other community professionals, are unhappy with contract talks between themselves and the Wall government.
In a release, the union says the province’s essential services law, which governs who can walk the picket line, is unfair.
It says contract negotiations are deadlocked, and it wants to see binding arbitration.
The strike is into its seventh week.
The union says that makes it the longest health-care strike in the province’s history.
