Former Red Pheasant First Nation Chief Charles Meechance has been fined $21,000 for breaking wildlife laws.
He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Wednesday.
Crown Prosecutor Inez Cardinal says Meechance pleaded guilty to three charges: unlawfully outfitting, falsifying export applications and exporting wildlife without proper permits.
Meechance has two years to pay the fines.
After he was sentenced, Cardinal withdrew 23 other charges.
