Poundmaker Lawyer Joins Human Rights Commission

There have been three new appointees to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, including a lawyer from the Poundmaker Cree Nation.

 

Paul Favel is well known for his extensive work within the First Nations community.

 

Chief Commissioner David Arnot says that will a benefit to the commission because Favel has a good understanding of the issues facing First Nations people.

 

Jan Gitlin and Barry Wilcox join Favel as the new appointees.

 

Their appointments take effect immediately.
