Man Charged in One Arrow Assault

Wakaw RCMP have laid charges following an assault earlier this week at One Arrow First Nation.

Police say 30-year-old Jason Uhryn of Wakaw is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

The suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon and released from custody .

He is scheduled to appear in court in August.

The investigation began after police received reports of an injured man found on a farm near the reserve at around 6 a.m. Sunday morning.

The victim was taken to Rosthern Hospital and then transferred to Saskatoon for treatment.

The victim’s name has not been released.
