Autopsy Scheduled in Black Lake Homicide

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday after the discovery of a body yesterday at the Black Lake First Nation.

 

Stony Rapids RCMP continue the investigation with the assistance of the Saskatoon Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Services from Prince Albert.

 

Police had been searching for a missing person since Tuesday, and have confirmed the body found is that of the missing person.

 

They also say this is definitely a homicide investigation.

 

So far there’s no word on charges, but investigators say a suspect in the case has been identified .

 

The victim’s name has not been released.
