Boy Shot to Death at Hall Lake

A 12-year-old boy is dead after a shooting on the Hall Lake Reserve.

RCMP say they received a call around 8:40 this morning that the child needed medical assistance.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene but it was too late.

Corporal Nicole Fleury says many questions need to be answered regarding the death and RCMP are treating it as suspicious.

A police dog was called out to the scene today along with the coroner and a forensics team from Prince Albert.

Victims services are assisting the family.

The boy’s name has not been released.
