Piapot Gets New Water Treatment Plant

A new water treatment plant is up and running on the Piapot First Nation.

Community leaders cut the ribbon on the new facility yesterday.

Piapot Chief Jeremy Fourhorns says the new plant is an upgrade over the old one.

He adds the plant will contribute to the overall health of Piapot as well as its food production.

The federal government contributed $4.5 million to the facility.
