Saskatchewan Environment is lending a helping hand to Ontario.
20 initial attack firefighters are on their way to Thunder Bay to help battle flames there.
Fire duty officer Brent Krayetski says three water tankers and ten crewmen are already on scene.
He says he isn’t worried the recent hot temperatures here will leave us shorthanded should fires break out.
“No the forecast is for continual unsettled weather. Rain coming with the lightning that we’re getting and higher humidity. We’re looking pretty good right now.”
He says the personnel could be down in Ontario for up to two weeks.
